I can be a pretty loud person at times. These times are usually focused on music, general disdain or being scared. However, I get credited alot with being a fairly quiet person from a lot of people who work with/know me.
I talk when I talk, otherwise… I’m caught up in my own mind, a TV or writing something down.
The bad part is, I don’t speak up enough at the appropriate times. It’s pretty detrimental at work and most recently, in my personal life.
And for lack of a better way of saying it, here is me listing and bragging about every single task I’m involved with and/or good things I see in myself.
Let the historical record show that I still think this is pretty ridiculous.
- I work at a TV station.
- I started my own website.
- I just started helping out local bands by working at a booking agency.
- I pay for my own health insurance on time every month.
- I have no credit card debt.
- I work out almost every single day.
- I BEAT CANCER AT 22.
- I started/write for my work’s Twitter every day.
- I talk to my parents every day and am proud to say that I try not to cause them heartache.
- I have voted in every municipal, county, state and national election since the day I turned 18.
- I’ve written songs that I can optimistically feel people like.
- I’ve never totalled a vehicle.
- My job during high school and part of college was taking care of my grandmother every day.
- I feel like my teachers actually think I’m smart sometimes.
- I’ve never stolen anyone’s boyfriend. (Just sayin’… it’s gotta count for something)
- I’m in my twenties and still no babies. (Yes, you can cross your fingers too!)
- I’m comfortable with my own judgement and cautiousness.
- I’ve never committed a felony.
- I’m on great terms with my mayor and try to do all I can in my small town.
- I’ve lost almost 10 lbs in a month.
This is my boastful list.
I don’t need to say it out loud because it’s internally understood.
Happy New Year everyone.
